I know the chaos of life can get in the way. I also know the agony of wishing our littles would stay little forever. I’m here to make your family session easy, fun and meaningful without taking up your calendar or mental space, because, man, do I get it. I am a wife and a mom of three. A family photographer capturing you, as you are, with the ones you love.
I love all the colors and evidence of the tangibility of film. Capturing people being their perfectly imperfect wild selves is my jam. Photographing families on film allows me creatively and artistically lean into joy and nostalgia to create photos that look and feel like memories.
My goal is to give you the space and freedom to be yourself and love on your people. For you to see how loved and cherished you are and for you to fall in love with your family even more.

Often times people want to book their family photos in the fall leading up to the holiday season with the hopes of sending out their holiday cards.
I am here to flip that on its head.
Family photos can (and should) be taken any time of year, however, you should keep seasonal changes in mind.
For outdoor family photos in and around Missoula, Montana late spring and summer are the best months. With blooming flowers (wildflowers, gardens, lilac bushes etc) and lush greenery, June and July are the best months for outdoor family photography. That is not to say that the months surrounding June and July are off the table but those are peak months for Montana beauty and great weather (without the potential for smokey skies).
For in-home family photos in and around Missoula, Montana any time of year is great. As long as you have nice bright natural light in your home we can make incredible images together. If weather permits we can also step out onto your front steps or backyard for some fun photos in your favorite spot with your people.

This is totally up to you and what you want to communicate or remember about your family. If you have a favorite outdoor location that your family enjoys I can meet you there. If you prefer to remember the home you live and grow in, I will gladly come to you.

I do not style my clients. I firmly believe that you should come to your sessions as a true version of yourself and that means wearing clothes that are true to you. I encourage my clients to shop their own closets for their favorite outfit. You can find more tips for choosing your outfits here.

You do not need to bring anything to the session. If you have a blanket that you love (for sitting on the ground) you are welcome to bring it. Snacks are a good idea for kids, but make sure it’s not a messy snack. A change of clothes is also a great idea especially if we are meeting near water and you plan to play in it.

I do not offer minis sessions. Most families need more than the 15-20mins of a mini session to truly get comfortable and connect for us to create the lifestyle images you are hiring me for. On occasion I will run a mini session event 1-2 times per year, but I do not offer them separately. Join my newsletter to get first dibs on those mini time slots when they do open up.
